Our Producers

Become an Ethical Gold Producer

Our reputation is built on keeping our promise that we sell gold sourced only from Certified Ethical mining operations.  These operations have a demonstrated commitment to responsible environmental and socio-economic mining practices. Our certification program has been developed to provide our clients and consumers with credible verification that this is not only a promise but a guarantee.

Achieving ethical gold certification clearly identifies a placer mine’s commitment to sustainable development, and in turn allows Mammoth Tusk Gold to purchase ethical gold from that mine at a premium price.

At Mammoth Tusk Gold we welcome placer miners’ interest in our Ethical Gold Certification Program. Our dedicated team is committed to fostering and supporting sustainable mining practices. We are available to assist qualified Yukon placer miners throughout the certification process, and we look forward to entering into productive and commercially successful relationships with responsible miners.

If you are a Yukon placer mining operation with a valid Water License and Land Use Permit, and are committed to sustainable development, then our Ethical Gold Certification Program can provide an attractive option to increasing your gold sales.

The Process

The process begins with an application to Mammoth Tusk Gold. We will then provide the applicant with additional information about our Ethical Gold Certification Program and help them prepare for certification.  The certification process focuses on verifying that the mine is meeting the ethical gold standards. This is done through third party inspections and the compilation of relevant supporting documents.

Inspection reports and documents are provided directly to Ernst & Young who assess the information to ensure completeness and compliance with the standards.  Representatives of Ernst & Young advise Mammoth Tusk Gold when they have determined if a mine meets or exceeds the Ethical Gold Standards.

We then advise the applicant on the status of the certification application and make an offer to purchase gold sourced from the applicant’s mine.

Certified mines make a premium on the spot price of gold.

We are happy to support responsible mining and hope the premium we offer will encourage gold mining operations to work as progressively sustainable as possible.
